Chain Rentals and Sales
The chain up rental area is no longer located at the base of the Parkway. Due to occasional large snowfalls, chains may still be required. If so, the chains required lights will be flashing at the base of the mountain. Chains are available for sale in Courtenay at various locations or at the mountain itself, but they can not guarantee all sizes in stock. The road is very well maintained, so chains are rarely required anymore.
In Victoria: Chain Rentals are no longer available from any business in Victoria. You must now buy your own chains. Don't buy the cheapest!
On Mountain Transportation: SnoCat Taxi operates from the General Store. Call (250) 792-0974 for service.
